IC Marekts 100 deposit bonus

IC, the global brand of the IC Markets group, pays a 100% bonus on your first qualifying deposit, capped at $1,000, and a 50% bonus on each deposit after that, until your bonuses add up to $25,000. The bonus is trading credit: it increases your margin, profits made with it are yours to withdraw, and the credit itself can never be cashed out.

The promotion is offered by Raw Trading Ltd, which trades as IC and IC Markets Global and is regulated by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority under licence SD018. It is open to new clients, or clients who registered but never deposited, and is not available in every country.

How the bonus adds up

2nd$250$50050%
3rd$375$75050%

The first-deposit bonus stops at $1,000, so a $3,000 first deposit still earns $1,000. IC's terms give a second example: start with $500 and you receive $500, leaving $24,500 of the cap for later deposits.

IC 100% Deposit Bonus, explained in 1:40

How it works, how to claim it and the rules to read first.

Chapters and rules

The 60-day clock

Each bonus lasts 60 calendar days from its own deposit and then expires without notice. If you deposit again 20 days after your first deposit, the first bonus has 40 days left while the new one starts its own 60 days. IC warns that removing or expiring a bonus can raise your margin requirement at once and close open positions, including hedged ones, so keep enough of your own money behind every trade.

What withdrawals do to the bonus

Any withdrawal cuts the bonus in proportion to your balance, using this formula from IC's terms: bonus removed = withdrawal × (total bonus ÷ total balance). In IC's example, a trader with a $3,500 bonus and a $9,500 balance who withdraws $1,500 loses $552.63 of bonus. Removed bonus is never reinstated, although later deposits can still earn new bonuses up to the cap.

The bonus is also removed automatically if losses, commissions or swaps bring your own money down to IC's removal threshold. It supports your balance; it does not replace it.

Who can claim it, and on which accounts

  • Raw Spread and Standard accounts on MetaTrader 4 or 5; cTrader accounts are excluded.
  • Fund managers and MAM/PAMM users are not eligible.
  • One verified client profile per person; multiple registrations are disqualified.
  • Internal transfers, rebates and balance adjustments never earn a bonus.
  • Not available to residents of the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Iran or North Korea, among others.

A worked example over two deposits

You deposit $800 and receive an $800 bonus, so you have $1,600 of equity. Twenty days later you add $400 and receive $200, the 50% rate. You now have $1,200 of your own money and $1,000 of bonus. The first bonus expires 40 days later, on day 60 from the first deposit, and the second one 60 days after its own deposit. Any withdrawal at this point would remove part of the $1,000 of bonus, worked out with IC's formula in the section on withdrawals above.

How IC's bonus compares

IC's first-deposit match is generous up to $1,000, and the 50% on later deposits keeps paying for regular depositors. The 60-day expiry is the catch: each bonus has two months to help you before it disappears, whatever your open positions.

What IC counts as abuse

IC's terms list multi-account strategies, internal or external hedging, latency arbitrage, toxic flow, swap manipulation and rebate arbitrage. Any of them can lose you the bonus and the profits made with it, and IC's decision is final. Ordinary directional trading is what the promotion is built for.

IC offers leverage of up to 1:5000 on this entity. A bonus plus very high leverage can wipe out an account quickly; size positions from your own deposit. See our IC Markets review covers costs and regulation.

Key terms explained

  • Credit (bonus credit): money the broker adds to your account as margin. It raises your equity but isn't yours to withdraw.
  • Equity: your balance plus or minus the profit or loss on open trades, plus any credit. Brokers measure margin against this figure.
  • Margin: the part of your equity set aside to keep positions open. More credit means more free margin before a margin call.
  • Expiry: the date after which unused bonus or points are removed, whatever is happening in your account.

Who this offer suits

IC's bonus suits new clients who will deposit more than once over a few months and want margin support on MetaTrader. It suits less anyone trading on cTrader, using managed accounts, or planning frequent withdrawals, which shrink the bonus permanently.

Mistakes to avoid

The biggest mistake is forgetting the 60-day expiry. When a bonus disappears, margin requirements rise at once and open positions can be closed. Hedging to protect a bonus is the second: IC's terms treat internal and external hedging as abuse. Opening a cTrader account by default is the third; the bonus only works on MetaTrader Raw Spread or Standard accounts.

Before you claim: a quick checklist

  • Open a Raw Spread or Standard MetaTrader account.
  • Note each deposit's 60-day expiry date.
  • Keep enough of your own money behind every position.
  • Avoid hedging or multiple accounts.
  • Read how withdrawals reduce the bonus before you request one.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is the IC Markets first-deposit bonus?

100% of your first qualifying deposit, up to $1,000. Later deposits earn 50% until your total bonus reaches $25,000.

How long does the IC deposit bonus last?

Each bonus is valid for 60 calendar days from the deposit that earned it, then expires automatically.

Can I withdraw the IC bonus?

No. The bonus is non-withdrawable credit. Profits you make while trading with it can be withdrawn, and each withdrawal reduces the bonus in proportion to your balance.

Does the bonus work on cTrader?

No. IC's terms limit the promotion to Raw Spread and Standard accounts on MetaTrader 4 and 5.

What is the minimum deposit for the IC bonus?

IC's terms refer to a minimum qualifying deposit but don't print a figure in the version we checked. Check the deposit screen in your client area before funding.

Can existing IC clients get the bonus?

Only if they registered but never deposited. The promotion is for new clients or registered clients without a deposit.

What happens to my trades when an IC bonus expires?

Your margin requirement can rise immediately, which may close open positions, including hedged ones. Keep enough of your own money in the account.

Is the IC bonus paid in my account currency?

Yes. For non-USD accounts, IC converts the bonus at its system exchange rate at the time it is allocated.

Can IC remove the bonus early?

Yes. It is removed automatically if your real balance falls to IC's removal threshold, and IC can act against abuse.

Does IC's bonus work with high leverage?

It adds equity on accounts that can use leverage up to 1:5000. That combination magnifies losses as much as gains.

Can I get the IC bonus on a second deposit only?

The first-deposit rate is 100%; later deposits earn 50%. IC built the promotion around a first deposit while you are a new client.
