Can I open an Elev8 account from my country?

Is it legal for me to trade with this broker?

Two things decide whether you can trade: the broker must accept your country, and your own country's law must allow you to trade with a foreign broker. A broker accepting you does not make it legal where you live, so check both.

Your country

Elev8 does not publish a list of restricted countries; the sign-up form decides.

Is Elev8 safe? Licences and protections

What does a regulator actually do?

A regulator licenses brokers and supervises how they treat clients. Top-tier regulators such as the FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia) and CySEC (EU) set strict rules on client money, leverage and complaints; offshore regulators set lighter ones. Most brokers run several companies, and the one named in your client agreement decides which rules protect you. Negative balance protection means you cannot lose more than the money in your account.

Elev8 lists three licensed companies, all outside the top-tier regulators. Legal documents are grouped by licence:

Elev8 Markets (186509 GBC)
Regulator
FSC Mauritius
Licence
GB21027161 (Investment Dealer)
Leverage
Up to 1:1000
  • Segregated accounts
  • Negative balance protection: balance reset to zero after a stop out

Elev8 names no compensation scheme. It says its team has 15+ years at a leading global brokerage brand and reports 18 million client accounts in 100+ countries. Check which company your client agreement names.

What is KYC verification?

Before you can trade or withdraw, a broker must check who you are. This is called KYC, short for "know your customer". You usually upload a photo ID and a recent bill or bank statement showing your address. Practise on a demo account with virtual money before you deposit real money.

  1. RegisterSign up with your email or a social profile and confirm your email.
  2. VerifyUpload a valid passport, national ID or other government photo ID, plus an extra document if you live outside the issuing country. Usually a few minutes, at most 24 hours.

Elev8 fees: what one trade costs

SELL (bid) 1.08500 BUY (ask) 1.08512 1.2 pips The gap is the spread: the cost of opening the trade 1 pip = 0.0001 ≈ $10 on one standard lot of EUR/USD · example prices
What are spreads and pips?

The spread is the gap between the buy and sell price, and it is the main cost on accounts without commission. A pip is the fourth decimal on most currency pairs (0.0001); on one standard lot of EUR/USD, 1 pip is worth about $10. Raw and ECN accounts have tighter spreads but add a fixed commission per lot, so always compare the total cost.

Elev8 charges no separate commission on forex: its mark-up is built into floating spreads from 0.6 pips. There are no swaps and no payment fees.

One standard lot (100,000 units) opened and closed, using each broker's cheapest published EUR/USD pricing: spread × $10 plus the round-turn commission. "From" spreads are best-case, so live costs at those brokers are usually higher than shown; "average" and "typical" are the brokers' own published averages. Swaps are not included. What is a lot, and what is a cent account?

A standard lot is 100,000 units of currency, a mini lot 10,000 and a micro lot 1,000. A cent account shows your balance in cents, so you can trade very small sizes while you learn. Standard accounts usually cost more in spread; raw accounts cost less in spread but charge commission.

Your money $100 1:100 Position you control $10,000 Stop out trades closed Margin call warning Healthy margin →
How do leverage, margin call and stop out work?

Leverage lets you open a bigger position with less money: at 1:100, $100 controls $10,000. It multiplies losses exactly as much as profits. Margin is the money held to keep a trade open; at the margin call level you are warned, and at the stop out level the broker starts closing your trades. Most beginners are safer with low leverage.

Can I withdraw a deposit bonus?

A deposit bonus is usually trading credit, not cash. It adds margin to your account, but you cannot withdraw it, only the profits you make, and often only after trading a set volume. Read the terms before you accept one.

The bonus counts towards equity but can be withdrawn only after trading half its value in standard lots (a $50 bonus needs 25 lots; Gold and Platinum need fewer). It is cancelled if your equity or personal funds fall below the bonus amount. Read the full terms before you accept it.

Our verdict on Elev8

Elev8 is easy to start with: $25, no commissions, no payment fees, every account swap-free and withdrawals usually processed within a few hours. The trade-offs are protection and track record. Its licences are from Mauritius, Seychelles and the Comoros with no compensation scheme named, the brand only launched in 2026, and it does not publish its stop out level. Treat the 50% bonus as trading conditions, not free money.

We never tell you to trade, so read Elev8's disclosures first. Our promise
