Our promise to readers
True information, independently
Our aim is simple: to give you true information and our own independent view of what is good and what is bad about each broker. Our reviews are not written or approved by the brokers, and the facts in them are checked against official sources.
We never tell you to trade
We do not tell anyone to open an account or trade with any broker. Before you choose a broker, do your own research and read its legal documents and risk disclosures. Trading with leverage can lose you money quickly, and you should only trade money you can afford to lose.
If we get something wrong
We work hard to be right, but if we get something wrong, we are sorry. Tell us at info@fxrecap.com or through the contact form. We correct or remove any content that could harm our readers within 1 to 5 business days, and record the change in our verification log.
Where our facts come from
Official sources first
Broker facts such as licences, account types, fees, leverage and deposit rules are checked on the broker's own website, help centre and legal documents, and on the register of the regulator that issued the licence. Economic facts come from central banks, statistics agencies and other official bodies.
Reports are labelled
When a fact comes from a news report rather than an official source, we say so and name the outlet, for example "as reported by Reuters". Market prices in our articles carry the time they were taken and come from sources whose terms allow publication: official reference rates (central banks, treasuries) and licensed data providers. Live prices on our pages are TradingView's official widgets.
What we do not publish
- Figures we cannot confirm on an official page. They are removed or left out, never guessed.
- Claims that a named firm is a scam or a fraud, unless a regulator or court has said so in an official warning or decision. We link to that source.
- Paid placements presented as editorial. Sponsored content is labelled; see our affiliate disclosure.
Dated evidence
We keep a dated copy of the official pages behind our facts, so a statement can still be checked against its source after the source changes.
How a page is reviewed before it goes live
Each article, review and analysis page names the five people responsible for it at the top of the page.
- Writer drafts the page from official sources and lists them.
- Market analyst checks prices, levels, trading conditions and market context.
- Fact-checker confirms each fact against its official source and checks risk wording.
- Reviewer, an experienced trader, checks that the page is fair and useful to traders.
- Approver signs the page off for publication.
Hands-on tests and screenshots
Whose account
A test shown in a review was run on an account held by the FX Recap team member named as the tester, in their own name, and is dated.
What we hide
Screenshots hide account numbers, logins, payment details and balances. We never publish an account's profit or loss: it would look like a promise of returns, and one account's results say nothing about yours.
What we report
Facts a reader can use: how long a deposit or withdrawal took, which methods were offered, the fees charged, the spread seen at a stated time and how support answered.
Images, logos and videos
Our own images
Featured images, diagrams and charts are drawn by FX Recap. We keep a register of every image the site uses and where it came from.
Other companies' logos
Broker and platform logos are used unchanged and only to identify the company. We do not use regulators' logos; regulators are named in text. A company can ask us to remove or change its logo through the correction process below.
Videos
Our YouTube videos are presented by an animated host with a computer-generated voice. Scripts are written from the written review and checked by the same team. Each video carries a trademark notice in its description.
How we use AI tools
AI-assisted, human-checked
We use AI tools to help research, draft and illustrate some pages and to voice our videos. Every page is checked against official sources, edited and signed off by the named FX Recap team before it is published, and the named team is responsible for it.
How to request a correction
Send us the details
Use the contact form and choose Correction request, or email info@fxrecap.com with "Correction request" in the subject line. Include the page link, the statement you think is wrong, and the official source that shows the correct fact.
What happens next
- First reply within 24 hours on working days (Monday to Friday).
- Decision within 5 working days. If the official source confirms the error, we update the page.
- Record. The page's "Updated" date changes, and the page is added to our verification log with the official sources used.
When we do not change a page
If the official source does not support the change, we reply with the source we relied on. Opinions, ratings and scores are editorial judgements under our broker methodology; we explain them but do not change them on request.
Right of reply for brokers and organisations
Who can ask
Any broker, company, regulator or person named on FX Recap can ask us to review what we published about them.
How we handle it
Send the request with evidence from official sources, such as a licence entry, a legal document or a published statement. We review it within 5 working days. Where the evidence shows our page is wrong or out of date, we correct it. Where the facts are disputed, we may add the organisation's position to the page, attributed to them.
Legal notices and complaints about content
Where to send them
Send legal notices about our content to info@fxrecap.com with "Legal notice" in the subject line, or through the contact form under Correction request. Include the page link, the statement concerned, why you object, and your contact details.
What we do
We acknowledge legal notices within 24 hours on working days and review the page against its sources. If a statement cannot be supported by an official source, we remove or correct it while the matter is reviewed.
Copyright
If you believe material on FX Recap uses your copyright without permission, follow the copyright section of our Terms of Use.
Trader reviews and comments
Separate rules
Reviews written by traders are their own opinions, not FX Recap's. They are checked before they appear and must follow our trader review policy, which also explains how to report a review.
