Two things decide whether you can trade: the broker must accept your country, and your own country's law must allow you to trade with a foreign broker. A broker accepting you does not make it legal where you live, so check both.

What traders get
What to watch
Ten parameters, weighted the same way for every broker. The share shows how much each one counts towards the score; the label is what we found for IUX.
A regulator licenses brokers and supervises how they treat clients. Top-tier regulators such as the FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia) and CySEC (EU) set strict rules on client money, leverage and complaints; offshore regulators set lighter ones. Most brokers run several companies, and the one named in your client agreement decides which rules protect you. Negative balance protection means you cannot lose more than the money in your account.
IUX runs iux.com through a Mauritius company. Here is who holds what:
IUX does not accept clients from Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Ukraine, the UK, the US or the EU, and takes no new Thai clients. It serves Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Laos, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Mexico and Colombia.
IUX describes itself as a hybrid market maker: it is sometimes your counterparty and passes some orders to tier-1 liquidity providers. Do not assume ASIC protection: the ASIC-licensed company is not the one serving iux.com.
Is IUX regulated? Full check →Before you can trade or withdraw, a broker must check who you are. This is called KYC, short for "know your customer". You usually upload a photo ID and a recent bill or bank statement showing your address. Practise on a demo account with virtual money before you deposit real money.
ID must be valid for 3+ months. Accounts with no activity for 15+ days and under $1 are archived; reactivate within 90 days or they are deleted. IUX may ask for source-of-funds checks, which limit deposits and withdrawals until done.
IUX verification guide →The spread is the gap between the buy and sell price, and it is the main cost on accounts without commission. A pip is the fourth decimal on most currency pairs (0.0001); on one standard lot of EUR/USD, 1 pip is worth about $10. Raw and ECN accounts have tighter spreads but add a fixed commission per lot, so always compare the total cost.
Standard and Pro put the cost in the spread. Raw starts from 0.0 pips and charges $7 per lot. IUX charges no account, deposit or withdrawal fees.
| Cost | What IUX charges |
|---|---|
| Commission | Standard and Pro: none. Raw: $7 per lot. |
| Deposits and withdrawals | No IUX fee; your bank or the blockchain network may charge. |
| Account fees | No opening or maintenance fees. |
| Swaps | Day traders are swap-free by default; holding positions for several days switches swaps on (see below). |

One standard lot (100,000 units) opened and closed, using each broker's cheapest published EUR/USD pricing: spread × $10 plus the round-turn commission. "From" spreads are best-case, so live costs at those brokers are usually higher than shown; "average" and "typical" are the brokers' own published averages. Swaps are not included. Sources: each broker's own site, checked between 30 September and 19 October 2026.
A swap is interest you pay or earn when you keep a trade open past the daily rollover, because a currency trade borrows one currency to buy another. Many brokers charge three days on Wednesday to cover the weekend. An Islamic or swap-free account removes this interest, sometimes with a fixed admin fee instead.
| Default | Outside Islamic countries, new accounts are swap-free while you mainly day trade. |
|---|---|
| When it changes | IUX's system switches you to normal swaps if you hold positions for days at a time; IUX advises not holding for more than 2–3 days in a row. Swap-free returns automatically. |
| Charged anyway | Some pairs (such as GBP/AUD, CAD/JPY and USD/JPY on Wednesdays), all metals and oil except XAU/USD, the DXY and thematic indices. |
| Islamic countries | Clients in countries such as Indonesia are swap-free automatically. |
A standard lot is 100,000 units of currency, a mini lot 10,000 and a micro lot 1,000. A cent account shows your balance in cents, so you can trade very small sizes while you learn. Standard accounts usually cost more in spread; raw accounts cost less in spread but charge commission.

All accounts use market execution on MT5, trade from 0.01 lots, have a 40% margin call and allow withdrawals from $10.
IUX account types compared →Leverage lets you open a bigger position with less money: at 1:100, $100 controls $10,000. It multiplies losses exactly as much as profits. Margin is the money held to keep a trade open; at the margin call level you are warned, and at the stop out level the broker starts closing your trades. Most beginners are safer with low leverage.
| Maximum | 1:3000, depending on account, trading volume and instrument |

Change leverage in Trading Accounts if your free margin allows. Stop out is 20% and margin call 40%.
How IUX leverage works →MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) are the most widely used trading platforms; MT5 is newer, with more markets and tools. cTrader and TradingView are popular for their charts. Expert advisors (EAs) are programs that trade automatically on MetaTrader.
Desktop for Windows and Mac, WebTerminal and mobile. 80+ indicators, 7 order types.
iOS and Android, with TradingView Advanced Charts.
Trade in the browser or from the Client Dashboard.
Third-party signal copying.
No MT4 or cTrader. Expert advisors run on desktop MT5 only. Servers are in London and Singapore; server time is GMT+0.
IUX platforms compared →Most of what brokers offer are CFDs (contracts for difference): you trade the price of gold, an index, a share or a coin without owning it. Spreads differ from market to market and usually widen around big news and when markets open.

IUX's pages give different instrument counts, so we do not quote one.
Trading stocks with IUX →To stop money laundering, brokers usually send withdrawals back to the card, bank or wallet you deposited from, and only to an account in your own name. You must be verified to withdraw, and your bank or payment provider can add its own time and fees.
Withdrawals go only to accounts in your own name, refunded to source first. With positions open you can withdraw up to 90% of free margin minus any credit. The minimum withdrawal is $10.
IUX withdrawals explained →A deposit bonus is usually trading credit, not cash. It adds margin to your account, but you cannot withdraw it, only the profits you make, and often only after trading a set volume. Read the terms before you accept one.

IUX suits day traders in the ten countries it serves: $30 to start, MT5 and a modern app, no IUX fees, withdrawals IUX says arrive within minutes, and swap-free by default for short trades. It is less suited to swing traders, whose swap-free status switches off, and to anyone wanting MT4, cTrader or a top-tier regulator. Its pages also contradict each other on hedging, so ask support before you hedge.
What traders say about IUX in their own words. These ratings are separate from FX Recap's own score of 4.5, which comes from our review.
