RoboForex is an offshore broker with a $10 minimum deposit, raw-spread accounts, more than 12,000 instruments on its own platform and a built-in copy trading service. LiteFinance has traded since 2005 and offers ECN accounts from $50, cTrader and built-in copy trading through a company registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The better fit depends on where you live, how often you trade and which company would hold your account.

Quick Answer

A “winner” here means the better published figure on that one line. It is not a recommendation: the right broker depends on where you live and how you trade.

Regulation and Safety

RoboForex Ltd is registered with the FSC in Belize, an offshore regulator. It adds private protections: category A membership of The Financial Commission, whose Compensation Fund covers up to €20,000 per case, civil liability insurance of up to €2,500,000, and negative balance protection.

LiteFinance’s group includes a CySEC-licensed company in Cyprus and an FSC-licensed company in Mauritius. Most international clients, though, open accounts with LiteFinance Global LLC, which is registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. That is a company registration, not a forex licence, and there is no investor compensation fund.

Neither broker holds a top-tier licence such as the FCA’s or ASIC’s for the clients it serves internationally, and neither offers a government-backed compensation scheme. Keep deposits proportionate and check which company your client agreement names.

Trading Costs

On commission-free accounts, RoboForex lists: Pro and ProCent from 1.3 pips. LiteFinance lists: Classic from 1.8 points. “From” figures are minimums, so expect wider live spreads, especially around news.

Both offer a raw-spread account. RoboForex: ECN and Prime from 0 pips plus a commission per $1 million traded. LiteFinance: ECN from 0.0 points plus $5 per lot on forex majors. For frequent traders, a raw account usually costs less per trade than a spread-only one.

RoboForex lists no inactivity fee. LiteFinance’s inactivity fee: $10 per 30 days once an account has been dormant for 3 months. Withdrawal fees: RoboForex: by method (for example Skrill 1%, cards up to 2.6% + $1.30); first withdrawal free on three Tuesdays a month; LiteFinance: depends on the method; withdrawals go back to the deposit wallet.

Platforms and Copy Trading

RoboForex offers MT4, MT5 and R StocksTrader. LiteFinance offers MT4, MT5 and cTrader.

RoboForex’s copy trading: Copy Trading Service (formerly CopyFX), from $100. LiteFinance’s copy trading: Social Trading, built in, usually from $50. Copying another trader doesn’t remove risk: you can lose money as fast as trading yourself.

Leverage

RoboForex’s maximum leverage: 1:2000 on Pro and ProCent; 1:500 on ECN; 1:300 on Prime. LiteFinance’s: 1:1000.

A higher maximum is not an advantage in itself. Leverage multiplies losses as fast as gains, so beginners should use far less than either broker allows.

Which One Should You Choose?

Go with RoboForex if:

  • You want to start from $10, including on a cent account
  • You want thousands of stocks on R StocksTrader
  • You want copy trading and a free VPS for active accounts

Go with LiteFinance if:

  • You want copy trading built into the broker
  • You use cTrader as well as MetaTrader
  • You value a brand that has traded since 2005

Whichever you choose, test a small withdrawal early, verify your account before you need your money, and risk only what you can afford to lose.
