Can I open a LiteFinance account from my country?

Is it legal for me to trade with this broker?

Two things decide whether you can trade: the broker must accept your country, and your own country's law must allow you to trade with a foreign broker. A broker accepting you does not make it legal where you live, so check both.

Your country

LiteFinance Global also excludes some other countries.

Is LiteFinance safe? It depends on where you live

What does a regulator actually do?

A regulator licenses brokers and supervises how they treat clients. Top-tier regulators such as the FCA (UK), ASIC (Australia) and CySEC (EU) set strict rules on client money, leverage and complaints; offshore regulators set lighter ones. Most brokers run several companies, and the one named in your client agreement decides which rules protect you. Negative balance protection means you cannot lose more than the money in your account.

LiteFinance has run as a brand since 2005. Which company you deal with depends on where you live. Pick your region:

Company
LiteFinance Global LLC
Regulator
No licence named on LiteFinance's pages; incorporated in St Vincent & the Grenadines
Licence
Registration 931 LLC 2021
Leverage

  • Negative balance protection on ECN

LiteFinance's pages name a licence for its EU and Mauritius companies, but none for LiteFinance Global LLC. Check the company named in your client agreement, and its licence, before you deposit.

LiteFinance fees: what one trade costs

What are spreads and pips?

The spread is the gap between the buy and sell price, and it is the main cost on accounts without commission. A pip is the fourth decimal on most currency pairs (0.0001); on one standard lot of EUR/USD, 1 pip is worth about $10. Raw and ECN accounts have tighter spreads but add a fixed commission per lot, so always compare the total cost.

Classic and Cent put the cost in the spread. ECN has no mark-up on spreads and charges commission per lot, taken when you open on MT4, MT5 and the LiteFinance terminal.

LiteFinance swaps and the Islamic account

Mon swap × 1 Tue swap × 1 Wed swap × 3 Thu swap × 1 Fri swap × 1 Each night your trade stays open past rollover, you pay or earn a swap Wednesday covers Saturday and Sunday · swap-free accounts remove this interest
What is a swap fee?

A swap is interest you pay or earn when you keep a trade open past the daily rollover, because a currency trade borrows one currency to buy another. Many brokers charge three days on Wednesday to cover the weekend. An Islamic or swap-free account removes this interest, sometimes with a fixed admin fee instead.

What is a lot, and what is a cent account?

A standard lot is 100,000 units of currency, a mini lot 10,000 and a micro lot 1,000. A cent account shows your balance in cents, so you can trade very small sizes while you learn. Standard accounts usually cost more in spread; raw accounts cost less in spread but charge commission.

LiteFinance leverage and margin

Your money $100 1:100 Position you control $10,000 Stop out trades closed Margin call warning Healthy margin →
How do leverage, margin call and stop out work?

Leverage lets you open a bigger position with less money: at 1:100, $100 controls $10,000. It multiplies losses exactly as much as profits. Margin is the money held to keep a trade open; at the margin call level you are warned, and at the stop out level the broker starts closing your trades. Most beginners are safer with low leverage.

Our verdict on LiteFinance

LiteFinance suits small and Asian or African traders well: a $10 cent account where it is offered, ECN pricing without a mark-up, MT4, MT5 and cTrader, a swap-free option with no hidden costs and ZERO Fees on deposits. The weaknesses are protection and upkeep. Most non-EU clients deal with a company incorporated in St Vincent & the Grenadines with no licence named, support stops at weekends and dormant accounts pay $10 a month.
