IUX is an MT5-only broker with a $30 minimum deposit, no deposit or withdrawal fees and leverage up to 1:3000, licensed by the FSC in Mauritius. FP Markets is a raw-spread broker that has traded since 2005, with ASIC and CySEC licences in its group, four platforms and more than 10,000 CFDs. The better fit depends on where you live, how often you trade and which company would hold your account.
Quick Answer
| Best for | Winner | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Starting small | FP Markets | No stated minimum against $30 |
| Raw-account commission | FP Markets | About $6 per lot round turn against $7 |
| Top-tier licences in the group | FP Markets | ASIC and CySEC; IUX is offshore only |
| Copy trading | FP Markets | IUX: None of its own (third-party Myfxbook AutoTrade) |
| cTrader | FP Markets | IUX doesn’t offer it |
| MetaTrader 4 | FP Markets | IUX is MT5 only |
A “winner” here means the better published figure on that one line. It is not a recommendation: the right broker depends on where you live and how you trade.

Regulation and Safety
IUX Markets (MU) Ltd holds an Investment Dealer licence from the FSC in Mauritius and operates iux.com. A related Australian company holds an ASIC licence but does not serve clients through the site. IUX is a member of The Financial Commission and resets negative balances to zero.
FP Markets’ group is regulated by ASIC in Australia and CySEC in Cyprus, and its site also names the FSCA in South Africa and the FSA in Seychelles. Many international clients, however, are placed with FP Markets Ltd, which is registered in Saint Lucia and is not a member of an investor compensation fund.
On paper FP Markets has the stronger regulatory footprint, but that only helps if your account sits with one of its strictly regulated companies. Check which company your country places you with before you deposit.
Trading Costs
On commission-free accounts, IUX lists: Standard from 0.2 pips; Pro from 0.1 pips. FP Markets lists: Standard from 1.0 pip (EUR/USD average 1.2). “From” figures are minimums, so expect wider live spreads, especially around news.
Both offer a raw-spread account. IUX: Raw from 0.0 pips plus $7 per lot. FP Markets: Raw from 0.0 pips (EUR/USD average 0.1) plus US$3 per side. For frequent traders, a raw account usually costs less per trade than a spread-only one.
IUX lists no inactivity fee. FP Markets lists no inactivity fee. Withdrawal fees: IUX: none from IUX; FP Markets: none on bank wires from FP Markets.
Platforms and Copy Trading
IUX offers MT5, IUX Trade App and IUX WebTerminal. FP Markets offers MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView.
IUX has no copy trading service of its own (none of its own (third-party Myfxbook AutoTrade)). FP Markets’s copy trading: Social Trading on MT4 and MT5; cTrader Copy. Copying another trader doesn’t remove risk: you can lose money as fast as trading yourself.
Leverage
IUX’s maximum leverage: 1:3000 (cut to 1:400 around high-impact news). FP Markets’s: 1:500.
A higher maximum is not an advantage in itself. Leverage multiplies losses as fast as gains, so beginners should use far less than either broker allows.
Which One Should You Choose?
Go with IUX if:
- You want a low-cost MT5 account from $30
- You want no deposit or withdrawal fees
- You live in one of the countries IUX serves
Go with FP Markets if:
- You trade often and want raw spreads with a low commission
- You want cTrader or TradingView
- You want a group with ASIC and CySEC licences
Whichever you choose, test a small withdrawal early, verify your account before you need your money, and risk only what you can afford to lose.
